REVEALING OF UNIQUE CAPABILITIES OF THE ORGANISM - NATURAL FIGHT AGAINST CANCER

The article considers current studies on the capabilities of the human body. Examples of recent accomplishments in the study of physiology are given. Much attention is paid to self-regulated immune systems in the fight for health.

October is rich in scientific events. A few days before an international conference on modern methods of self-regulation was held in Moscow with the participation of Michael Nobel, where the capabilities of the human body in the modern world were discussed, the Nobel Prizes for scientific discoveries in various scientific fields were awarded in Stockholm. The topic of this article is devoted to the study, which was awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology.

Physiology is the theoretical basis of medicine and studies the patterns of functioning and regulation of the biological systems of the body: cells, cell structures, organs, and the vital activity of the whole organism. Knowledge about metabolic processes, energy and information are at the heart of life concepts. Vital activity is aimed at achieving a useful result and adaptation to environmental conditions.

The human body is a unique system where health depends on proper, precise and well-coordinated work of all organs and systems. Huan has a powerful and complex system of protection, given by nature and established over a long time under the influence of various factors.

The body's stability is ensured by the immune system, which responds quickly and adequately to any environmental aggression. Clinically healthy people have the immune system which is always working at a certain level of activity. Human immunity is provided by a complex system of organs, cells and soluble factors. Immunity of every human is able to fight against alien malignant cells.

The discovery of immunity in the fight against cancer belongs to two Nobel Prize winners. James Ellison-American immunologist, cancer immunotherapy specialist, Professor at the University of Texas, and Tasuku Honje, Japanese immunologist and professor at Kyoto University, independently studied the response of the human immune system to a tumour. Scientists have found that cancerous cells produce special proteins called PD-1 receptor proteins, because of which the immune system does not perceive them as alien. Thus, human immunity does not recognize the tumour and does not try to fight it. Scientists have found a way to trigger the body's defence mechanisms and activate blocked immune cells. The discovery of two immunologists was a breakthrough in the field of immunotherapy of cancer.

This study has proved that the body is able to cope with various negative effects on its own. "The fourth direction" was the name given to the method of cancer control. It differs from chemotherapy, radiotherapy, various anticancer drugs, surgery.

The fight against the disease is carried out by means of internal human resources - the immune system. Often, the body "does not see" malignant cells and for these reasons cannot fight them. However, immunologists Allison and Honje have managed to explain the mechanism of this inhibition. It turns out that the proteins that prevent the immune system from fighting cancer are the ones that make it harder for the immune system to fight cancer.

Protein PD-1 was isolated in the laboratory of scientists as a side effect of research. The understanding that this protein does not allow the immune system to actively fight cancer cells did not come immediately. A mechanism has been developed to suppress the functions of the protein, numerous experiments and experiments on animals.

Now the scientific community has proved that the internal capabilities of the organism are limitless, effective and mobile.

Conclusion

The world does not stand still, science goes forward. The amount of information is growing every year. People are increasingly in stressful states. To survive in these conditions, we must be able to cope with this dynamic. Self-regulation is a process that compensates for the influence of an external influence, while maintaining internal stability at a certain, relatively constant level. Science stands on the way of studying not new drugs that we need to take to cure a particular disease, but studying the processes of the body, which, when activated, will help us cope with the upcoming task.
